Dynamic modeling and analysis of flexible micro-porous piezoelectric sensors applicable in soft robotics

With recent advances in system integration technologies, numerous efforts have been made to develop soft piezoelectric sensors for various engineering and healthcare applications. Using flexible sensitive materials is crucial designing order maximize their efficiency integrability. Micro-porous PU-PZT composite a recently designed particulate material with an improved flexibility voltage coefficient over common ceramics that makes it promising candidate application sensors. In this study, we investigate the dynamic response sensitivity of micro-porous applications both 33 31 modes using energy methods. By effective field method, properties were extracted optimized based on partially experimentally measured get complete picture material. addition, effects changing sensor geometry by varying thickness adding extra layer between layers are studied. Finally, large area simulated finite element software, effect several parameters sensor’s performance investigated. Dynamic analysis shows high which significant improvement compared commonly used bulk ceramics. This work has demonstrated due output structural composite, large-area would be suitable choice artificial skins smart gloves.
